Man Finds A Skull And Keeps It

A Beaumont man found a human skull, liked it, and took it to his house. Two months later, Hardin County Deputies checked out the story and discovered there was a body north of Kountze. They exhumed human remains last Saturday morning in a wooded area off Helbig after a man reported finding a skull in that same area but kept it at home and didn’t reveal that fact until more than a month later. They say it’s too early to know the identity or cause of death, whether it’s natural or foul play. Justice of the Peace Naomi Doyle has ordered an autopsy.
