Man Suing Convenience Store Over Fall

A Jefferson man has filed a lawsuit after he allegedly tripped over a bag of charcoal he claims was negligently placed in an aisle at a Texarkana convenience store.  Joe Merryman says he crushed a Styrofoam cooler when he fell. Merryman says the store clerk made him pick up the pieces of the cooler and pay for it.  Merryman also says he incurred medical expenses and lost wages as a result of his fall.
