The Marietta Volunteer Fire Department in Cass County has received a $200,000 grant from the Rural Volunteer Fire Department Assistance Program. The money will be used to purchase a new small brush truck. The funds are part of $6.5 granted to fire departments throughout the state through the program’s second round of awards this year. Texas A&M Forest Service conducts the program.
