Mavs Win 0n Luka’s Buzzer Beater Plus High School Volleyball In Today’s Sports Update

Luka Doncic stepped back for a game-winning 3-pointer as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the LA Clippers 135-133 in OT. Doncic’s deep shot at the buzzer capped a triple-double, and the short-handed Mavericks evened their playoff series at two games apiece. Doncic finished with 43 points, 17 rebounds and 13 assists for his second straight triple-double.

In volleyball over the weekend, the Chisum Lady Mustangs fell to Maud in three sets. North Lamar lost two games, one to Melissa and one to Bonham. Prairiland split over the weekend, dropping a game to Community while defeating Leonard.

The Dallas Stars play Game 2 of their series with Colorado tonight at 8:45. Dallas took game one on Saturday night 5-3.

Sam Haggerty and Kyle Lewis homered, Justin Dunn pitched one-hit ball over six innings, and the Seattle Mariners beat the Texas Rangers 4-1 on Sunday. It was the Rangers’ eighth straight loss and the first series win of the year for Seattle. Texas is at home tonight at 1490 AM and 96.3 FM KPLT. Pregame is at 6:30 first pitch against Oakland is 7:05.

Kevin Harvick won the Drydene 311, winning the first and second stages, and the overall race at Dover International Speedway. The 44-year-old led 223 of 311 laps in Sunday’s race and is now officially the regular-season champ. Denny Hamlin currently sits second in the standings with Brad Keselowski behind him.

The Baltimore Ravens have released safety Earl Thomas, the team announced Sunday. The Ravens explained that they based their decision on Thomas’ “personal conduct that has adversely affected” the organization. Baltimore is cutting the veteran defender after the team sent him home for an altercation with teammate Chuck Clark during practice Friday. They think the Cowboys are in contention to sign Thomas.
