McDonald’s chief executive officer, Steve Easterbrook, has stepped down after violating the company policy by engaging in a consensual relationship with an employee. The board will release the separation package Monday in a federal filing. The board named Chris Kempczinski, who recently served as president of McDonald’s USA, as its new president and CEO.
