McKinney Police Prevent Murder-Suicide

They are crediting the McKinney Police with stopping an attempted murder-suicide involving a man and his son. Kendall Thigpen-Watkins had threatened to kill himself and his eight-year-old son. Officers found Thigpen-Watkins and his son hanging from a rope on the staircase and cut them down. The hospital released the child, and they arrested the father.
