Million’s Cut From Attorney General Paxton’s Budget

Texas AG Ken Paxton

The state’s budget debate this week is expected to include Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. His budget came in about $90-million under his request, with more than 150 jobs cut. Political Scientist Mark Jones believes this is due to the ongoing FBI investigation into Paxton for bribery charges and abuse of office. Paxton and his staff expect to testify Wednesday before the Senate Finance Committee about the proposed budget.
