
Greenville Police stopped a vehicle traveling east bound on Interstate 30 near the 100 mile marker. During the traffic stop officers discovered several packages of methamphetamines concealed in an aftermarket compartment. The driver, Cesar Baltazar of Mexico, was arrested and released into federal custody. The packages of methamphetamines weighed over 70 pounds with a street value of several millions of dollars. Due to the large amount of narcotics the Greenville Police Department contacted the Drug Enforcement Administration. With this information, Drug Enforcement Officers and Greenville Police Officers were able to continue the investigation. This investigation led to three additional subjects taken into federal custody along with seizures of cash, firearms, and additional methamphetamines. The investigation is still on-going and no further information is available at this time.
