Mineola Motel Fire Victim Identified

Authorities have identified the victim of a Mineola Motel fire. The 32-year-old Gerardo Valdez’s body was sent to a Tyler lab for an autopsy. He was reportedly a visitor from Mexico. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Fire officials have been unable to get inside the motel to investigate because everything is still frozen.
