Miranda Lambert celebrated her ACM Awards win on Sunday night by dancing to Bruno Mars songs in her dressing room with her crew. They posted several lip sync videos online.
Miranda Lambert tells Rolling Stone that she was glad to see Carrie Underwood perform at the ACM Awards following her injury. “It makes me proud to be a woman in this industry when I see her sing up there and do that. She’s one of the greatest singers of all time in any genre of music and can sing me under the table. I say that every time and I will continue to say that, but I’m just proud of her and I know how strong she is and how hard she’s worked.”
Keith Urban tells Entertainment Tonight that he has no plans to guest star on Nicole Kidman’s HBO show “Big Little Lies.” ”No, I’ll go on the set. I wouldn’t go on camera. I love being on the set where Nic is. I’d rather be in the studio.”
Sam Hunt Instagrammed that he did not attend the Academy of Country Music Awards because he was at a wedding. ”Thank you Academy Of Country Music for the award for Single of the Year. I was celebrating the marriage of my long-time friend and tour manager John Worthington. This made the weekend extra special. See Y’all next year!”
People magazine claims Carrie Underwood allegedly skipped the red carpet at the ACM Awards because she did not want anyone to see her prior to her public return following her fall. A source tells the magazine; “She ended up skipping the red carpet because she didn’t want to be bombarded with questions about the accident. It’s the most shaken anyone has ever seen her … this whole ordeal. She was terrified of people seeing the scars. Her hair and makeup team must’ve been under so much pressure.”
Blake Shelton tells CMT that he thinks about marrying Gwen Stefani. ”I think about [marrying her]. I don’t think it’s anytime soon or anything. The more time that goes by, I guess, the closer you’d be getting to that.”
Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles tells Pop Culture Country that she and Kristian Bush recorded their new song “Babe” with Taylor Swift after Taylor reached out to her. “She reached out. We have obviously known each other for many years. When she was just getting started, we had just had our first little EP out called Premium Quality Tunes, and she still has a copy of it that we signed for her, whenever we played a couple shows together. And she was excited we were getting back together and reached out, and said, ‘Hey, I have a song.’ And that is a short list, ladies, and gentleman, of people to whom she has said, ‘Hey, I have a song. Wanna sing it?’ So we said yes.”
