Tampa Bay Rays’ Manuel Margot is tagged out at home by Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Austin Barnes trying to steal during the fourth inning in Game 5 of the baseball World Series Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020, in Arlington, Texas. (AP Photo/Tony Gutierrez)

MLB

The inning-ending play in the fourth was when Catcher Austin Barnes tagged an attempted steal at home, and that was as closes as Tampa Bay got to winning. It ended with a 4-2 win by Los Angeles on Sunday night. Now Tampa Bay needs a victory to force a deciding Game 7.

NFL

The Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton suffered a concussion after taking a blow to the head during the third quarter of the game on Sunday between the Cowboys and Washington Football Team. Dak Prescott is having surgery after an ankle injury on Oct 11. Washington’s defense was too much for Dallas as they handed them six sacks and interception, and a forced fumbled in the 25-3 stomping of the Cowboys.

HIGH SCHOOL

Sulphur Springsdefeated Marshall 18-1 last week and advanced to the Bi-District playoffs against Van at Whitehouse Tuesday (Oct 27). Sulphur Springs golf has the guys first and the girls second after the Invitational Fall Classic held at Sulphur Springs Country Club. Mt Pleasant is hosting the Cross-Country District Meet today (Oct 26). Both boys and girls are in second place at the District Meet for Sulphur Springs.
