Patrick Mahomes on the NFL’s concussion protocol

Former Whitehouse Wildcat, Patrick Mahomes, went to the locker room early in Sunday’s divisional-round matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cleveland Browns. Mahomes was running for a first down in the third quarter and took a hit. He was evaluated on the sidelines and then taken off the field to go through the NFL’s concussion protocol.
The Saints’ 2020 season is over after they lost to the Bucs in the NFC playoffs. Now, the big question is, what’s next for Drew Brees. Numerous reports the last few weeks said Brees would retire after this season. But, Brees said he had not decided on his future.

The Dallas Stars open the season this Friday (Jan 22) at home against the Nashville Predators after rescheduling their first four games due to a COVID-19 outbreak on the team. In training camp, 17 members of the Stars tested positive for COVID-19, which forced the team to shut down its facilities for several days. All are recovering without complications.

The Sulphur Springs Wildcats soccer team has six straight wins, including a tie. The Wildcats won all three of the games against Princeton Thursday and Mesquite Horn Friday and Saturday morning. The Lady Cats tied with Sherman, lost to Garland Naaman Forest Friday, and did in Little Elm 5-2 Saturday.
