Dallas Police charged Georgia Quarterback Stetson Bennett with Public Intoxication after being arrested Sunday morning in Dallas. Officers responded to reports of a man banging on doors around 6:10 Sunday morning. They located Bennett, 25, determined he was drunk, and transported him to the Dallas City Detention Center.
A 7-0 run to start Saturday afternoon’s game powered the Texas A&M University-Commerce women’s basketball team to a 73-65 win over the Houston Christian Huskies in the Field House and snapped a two-game losing streak.
C.J. Roberts sent the fans inside the Field House happy on Saturday afternoon after sinking a last-second game-winner, just before the buzzer, for the Texas A&M University-Commerce men’s basketball in the 77-76 win over the Houston Christian Huskies. The Lions make a quick trip to Thibodaux, Louisiana, to face Nicholls on Thursday at 5:00 pm before returning to Commerce to face McNeese next Saturday. The Lion’s men tip off at Nicholls at 7:00.
