More details have been released about the case of a 37-year-old Bogata man arrested in Lamar County on two Capital murder and first-degree felony arson warrants out of Red River County. Jonathan Fulton Smith is accused in the deaths Jessica Walling and her ten-year-old son, Chevy, from a house fire. Smith was captured after an intense search by Bogata and state investigators when his cell phone was located in Powderly. He’s being held under a $1.5 million bond in the Red River County Jail.
