More Pretrial Rulings in Lamar County Man’s Sexual Assault Case

Jared Tanar Roberts remains in the Lamar County Jail awaiting trial on new sexual assault charges. A pretrial hearing was held last week on the admissibility of statements made by the victim or the victim’s family. Judge Tidwell ruled those statements can be used as evidence during the trial. Roberts is currently serving a prison sentence for sexual offenses committed in Lamar and Angelina counties.
