The Lamar County teen accused in the fatal shooting of her boyfriend’s grandmother has been convicted in Smith County of murder. Ashley Morrison, 19, and her boyfriend, Christian Sims, killed Annie Sim at her home in Powderly in 2014. The jury of ten women and three men that convicted her will now determine her sentence. Christian Sims pleaded guilty to the murder last October and was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
