While most students were sleeping in on their first day of Thanksgiving break, the National Honor Society (NHS) members at Mount Pleasant High School were up bright and early for their yearly Adopt-a-Highway program. The MPHS NHS takes care of a two-mile stretch of Highway 271 extending from FM 1734 to Highway 271 and Business 271.
