MPHS Speech and Debate competes in Salado Online UIL New Year Classic

After being home for just one day from the UIL Congress State Tournament, MPHS Speech and Debate team members Anthony Orellana and Elijah Rider quickly shifted gears to Cross Examination debate. In an online warm-up meet hosted by Salado High School on Saturday, January 7, they finished the day 4-0 after defeating teams from College Station, West Brook Senior High, Grand Saline, and Hutto. Orellana and Rider are preparing for the UIL CX District meet on January 26 at Pine Tree High School.
