MPISD Votes To Arm Selected Employees

Mt. Pleasant ISD’s board approved a measure that will allow some employees to carry concealed handguns. The “Guardian Plan” is a state-approved plan which provides hand-picked armed employees the ability to defend themselves in the event of an active shooter. The program will go into effect for the 2020-2021 year.
