Mt Pleasant High’s Swim Meet

The Mt. Pleasant High School Swim team participated in the Lufkin Invitational on October 15. The four girls as a team placed 7th overall. Taking 5th in the 200 yard Medley relay was Emily Brown, Lauren Lesher, Lily Grace Jones, and Ariel Parr. This group also placed 4th in the 200 Free Relay. Lily Grace Jones placed 6th in the 50-yard Freestyle with a time of 32.03 she also competed in the 100-yard Breaststroke where her time was 1:36.31. Ariel Parr placed 6th in the 100-yard Butterfly with a time of 1:34.93, she also placed 9th in the 50-yard Freestyle with a time of 33.25. Lauren Lesher had a time of 37.21 in the 50-yard Freestyle and finished the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:46.34. Emily Brown brought home a medal by placing 3rd in the 100-yard Freestyle with a time of 1:04.48. She also rounded out the top 5 in the 100-yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:24.92. The MPHS Swim team will compete in the Cougar Classic in The Colony on November 12th.
