Mt Pleasant Man Faces Felony Drug Charges In Sulphur Springs

Sulphur Springs Police made contact with 37-year-old Michael Lynn Emery, of Mt Pleasant, while he was walking on League Street near the Sulphur Springs Elementary School. He was extremely nervous and admitted that he had some marijuana in a box he was carrying. The box also contained a felony amount of methamphetamine. They charged Emery with Possession of more than four but less than 200 grams of a controlled substance in a Drug-Free Zone. Bond is $25,000 on the second-degree felony charge.
