Mt Pleasant Officers Arrest Man Hiding in Bathroom

Mount Pleasant police and the local SWAT team responded to a residence in the 300 block of Houston Avenue where a man had barricaded himself in a bathroom. 20 year old Miguel Organista had allegedly broken into the home and assaulted a woman. Officers detonated  a “ flash bang” grenade in the back yard of the home, and then extracted Organista from the bathroom without further incident. His bond was set at $17,500 on charges of burglary, violation of a protective order and giving false identification information to officers.
