Mt Pleasant Police Respond To Suspected Murder-Suicide

Friday at 5:45 am, Mount Pleasant Police responded to Mt Pleasant Assisted Living in the 2000-block of North Edwards after dispatch received a call about possible shots fired. When officers arrived on the scene, they found two people dead in the common area. They were identified as Mark and Michelle Sutherland, both 51, and from Mt Pleasant. Officers are investigating the shootings a murder-suicide. The next of kin have been notified.
