Mt Vernon ISD Names New Coach

Travis McClain was the head football coach and athletic director (AD) for the Rivercrest Rebels football team in Bogata. He is a Baylor football alum with a podcast and YouTube channel. He is now the head football coach and AD for the Mt Vernon Purple Tigers. At Monday night’s board meeting, he replaced Clayton George.

Coach McClain and his wife Kelley have two daughters, Laney and Parker Jane, and a son, Callahan “Bo.”
