Authorities are continuing an investigation that several were shipping drugs across the nation from home in Mineola. Wood County Constable Kelly Smith and his K9 initiated the case when his dog detected drugs “during a random open-air sniff” on Monday. Officers detained one suspect. Officers took methamphetamine, scales, and drug distributing material from home. They identified additional suspects in other states, and warrants are pending for their arrests to deliver methamphetamine. Kelly said assistance by citizens was a critical part of the investigation.
