National Police Week Memorial Service For Lamar County Tonight

The National Police Week Memorial Service for Lamar County will be tonight at 6:00 pm at Bywaters Park in downtown Paris. Its sponsored by the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office and Paris Police Department. Sergeant Bryan Shaw, an officer with the Dallas County Community College District, will be the featured speaker at the service. He survived the deadly attack on police officers in downtown Dallas in July 2016 and exchanged gunfire with the suspect. He did not realize he had been shot and injured until later in the evening.
