Nationwide Raids On 7-Eleven Stores

Authorities say Wednesday’s raids by immigration agents on more than one hundred 7-Eleven stores across 17 states and the District of Columbia were the largest against any employer since President Donald Trump took office. The agents were checking the immigration status of employees. An immigration official calls it “the first of many” such operations. The company of 7-Eleven says franchise owners are responsible for verifying work eligibility.
