NE Texas Coach’s Trial Ends In Mistrial

A judge has declared a mistrial in the child indecency case against a former coach at the Hallsville ISD. Dean McDaniel was accused of three counts of indecency with a child “by exposure with the intent of sexual gratification,” and one count of improper relationship between an educator and a student. The judge’s decision was made after an alternate juror reportedly gave “false information” about the defendant to other jury members.
