NE Texas Man Charged With Murdering Mother Back In Court

A Northeast Texas man accused of beating his mother to death with a fire extinguisher in 2009 was back in Bowie County District Court. Reportedly, 31-year-old Al Jerome Dixon has been in a state mental hospital for the last ten years because he was ruled incompetent for trial. Prosecutors and defense attorneys are awaiting the latest medical reports on Dixon’s mental status.
