A Northeast Texas motorcyclist failed to show up for his first trial for leading officers on a high-speed chase between Bowie County and Miller County, Arkansas. The court in New Boston has convicted him of Evading Arrest with a Vehicle. They sentenced 61-year-old Roy Dean Jones to 35 years in prison and fined $10,000. The lengthy sentence was because of his criminal history.
