New Boston’s court selected a jury to hear the trial of a Northeast Texas woman charged with murdering her boyfriend. Tonya Ruth Barnett is accused of shooting 35-year-old Cecil Ellis, Jr. in the back of the head. Barnett had claimed she shot Ellis in self-defense, but prosecutors say the autopsy report showed differently.
