Neighbor Saves Woman From Her House Fire

Tammy Stanford, of Mineola, was inside her home on Friday. Her security service called telling her she had a fire in her house. While trying to save her pet bird, she became pinned under the large cage. Her neighbor, Mike Nance, heard the noise and ran to her house pulling Tammy to safety. Tammy and the bird made it out alive. Reportedly a cat knocked over a candle causing the fire.
