New Federal Vaccine Study

A new federal study shows the life-saving impact of COVID vaccines in Texas. Researchers tracked vaccination rates in Texas and COVID-19 infection rates, focusing on vaccinations and recent cases in seniors. They looked at data starting in January when the vaccination rate was only one percent and ran through May when the vaccination rate among seniors was 80 percent. They estimate that vaccinations helped prevent 24,000 new COVID infections and 3,600 deaths.
