New Hwy. 271 Traffic Signal On The Way

A new traffic signal will soon be placed on US 271 just north of Loop 286. The signal will service the truck entrance for the Campbell’s Soup Company. The $165,000 project is targeted for completion by August 22. TxDOT officials said the new signal will be located approximately ¼ mile north of Stone Avenue on US 271. The contractor will also relocate the existing flashing beacon on US 271 to a new location further north near the intersection of Lake Crook Road. This work will require some alternating daytime lane closures throughout construction.
