The New Jersey company that administers statewide standardized tests has been fined $5.7 million by the Texas Education Agency, which also ordered the company to invest $15 million in future safeguards. Multiple computer glitches caused problems for students and school districts last academic year. The $5.7 million fine against Educational Testing Service would cover damages from issues with the STAAR Tests.
