New Restrictions On Domestic Air Travel Under Consideration

New Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has suggested the federal government is considering a negative result from a test for the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19 to board domestic passenger jets. Several studies have said the risk of transmission on a plane is relatively low due to the downward airflow and high-efficiency air filters. They already require negative tests for international travelers arriving from foreign countries.
