New State Agency To Fight “Skimming”

A brand new state agency is in the business of catching crooks who use skimmers to steal your credit card information. Authorities find the devices on gas pumps. Tela Mange with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation says investigators with the new Financial Crimes Intelligence Center will monitor cases where these crimes appear. And they’ll train police and financial services companies to help them spot abnormal activity. The center is in Tyler.
