New Study On Student Athletic Brain Injuries

Texas is about to launch what state officials believe is the nation’s largest effort to track brain injuries among middle and high school athletes. The UIL is partnering with the O’Donnell Brain Institute at the UT Southwestern Medical Center and hopes to use the data to gauge where rules and equipment changes are improving player safety. Researchers also want to see what more than be done to protect athletes.
