NHC Watching Gulf Of Mexico

The National Hurricane Center in Florida says it is still unclear, but they are watching a tropical disturbance in the Western Caribbean Sea. They say once it reaches the Gulf, it is expected to become more organized. They think a center could emerge Monday in the Gulf of Mexico and they can get a reliable forecast on what it will do and where it will make landfall. The ridge of high pressure over Texas will keep the low away from the Texas Coast.
