Nitro Gets A Memorial Marker

Titus County Commissioners recently approved a memorial marker for Nitro, Winfield Police Department’s K9. An 18-wheeler killed Nitro July 10, 2009, on I-30 while working with handler Charlie Walker. The memorial will be at Titus County Courthouse at the east entrance near the First Responders Line of Duty Memorial.
