NLHS Art Students Paint New City Christmas Decorations

Each taking part to paint, North Lamar’s advanced art students have been using their class time to paint the new Christmas decorations for Bywaters Park. Students in the foreground are senior Randalyn Kyle, senior Cheyenne Sanchez, and junior Kiersten Shoemate. In back are sophomores Makenna Morton and Alex Copeland.

Christmas in Bywaters Park will have new cutouts.

North Lamar High School’s advanced art students have been lending a hand to the City of Paris by painting the new Christmas cutouts that will go up soon at Bywaters Parker.  As the old decorations are phased out, new ones will be replacing them.

Helping juniors Dixie Davis and Hayden Brannan put the finishing touches on a reindeer that will go up at Bywaters Park during the Christmas holidays is NLHS art instructor Brandi Peel, right.

“I am very proud for my students to have this opportunity to connect with their community and to leave behind a part of their artwork that will last for years to come,” said NLHS art teacher Brandi Peel.
