NLHS Students Advance To Area Track Competition

Members of North Lamar High School’s Special Olympics Track Team advanced to the area after competing at two local track meets.  Students competed in Wolfe City and Bonham.  Lovejoy High School in Allen will host the area meet on April 28.

          Those who will compete beginning front row left are Avery Tawater – 100-meter dash and standing long jump, Dakota Richardson – 100-meter dash and mini javelin, Helena Dyck – 50-meter walk and ball throw for distance, Charlie Wilkerson – 100-meter dash and softball throw, and Randy Dowell – 50-meter dash and softball throw.  In back are Marcus Sanchez – 200-meter dash and running long jump, Mike Thomas – 100-meter dash and mini javelin, Jonathan Warren – 200-meter dash and running long jump, Clayton Tippit – 100-meter dash and mini javelin, and Gary Cady – 100-meter dash and softball throw. Not pictured is Gabby Smith who competes in the 100-meter dash and mini-javelin.
