NLHS’s Automotive Team Advances to State

Five North Lamar High School students advanced to state after winning district at the District SkillsUSA competition in Waco, Texas, on February 18-20.

North Lamar’s automotive team of Josh Felts, Emmi Berg, Casey Harper, Stephanie Moody and Alfredo Berg placed first in the Automotive Quiz Bowl and will go on to complete for the State Championship in Corpus Christi this March.

These students also competed individually with four placing in the top two spots in their event.  Those who will go on to compete at state in their event are Felts, first place in Motorcycle Technology, Emmi Berg, first place in Diesel Technology, Moody, second place in Marine Technology and Alfredo Berg, second place in Automotive Technology.  Harper placed third in Diesel Technology.
