No Death Penalty For NE Texas Teens Charged With Fatal Home Invasion

Bowie County prosecutors say they won’t seek the death penalty against two 17-year-old men who allegedly killed a man during a home invasion. Because of their ages, the maximum penalty faced by Daveon Damonta Woods and Cameron Keshaun Ware is life in prison without the possibility of parole. They are accused of fatally shooting 29-year-old Craig Garner after kicking in the door of his apartment with the intent to rob him. Garner leaves behind a wife and two children.
