North Lamar High School proudly announces that two of its students, Christian Walls, and Brody Stout, represented the district in a tournament hosted by the Texas High School Bass Association this past weekend. It marks a significant milestone as they are North Lamar’s first-ever fishing team, an exciting new venture for the school.
Walls and Stout, guided by their sponsor Patt Swaim and boat captain Rickey Nelson, competed against students from 160 other teams on Saturday. Despite the intense competition, the team earned points for their catches, contributing to their standing in the tournament series.
The LV Morrow Foundation generously provided the boat used for this inaugural event. Christian and Brody are enthusiastic about the season ahead and plan to compete in more tournaments across the state throughout the year.
