Over the holiday weekend while most students were enjoying the holiday, North Lamar High School’s UIL Speech and Debate students were busy competing in a tournament at Waco Midway High School.
Returning to North Lamar with medals was the team of Kay Edwards and Zach Huffman who received third place in Policy Debate. In Extemporaneous Speaking, Edwards won first place, Steele Musgrove received second place, Zach Huffman took third place and Jake Chollet was fourth place. Others receiving wins include Colin Hodgkiss who got fifth place, Mason Remaley who got sixth place and Katie Hodgkiss who received seventh place.
