North Lamar ISD Hit By Ransomware Attack

North Lamar ISD was victimized by a Ransomware attack on the district’s computer system. The attack on the system was discovered Thursday night, and early Friday morning, all of the district’s computers were ordered not to be turned on. The virus was likely transmitted to the district’s computers through an email attachment containing the virus. The North Lamar IT department has been working to restore the computer system.
