North Lamar ISD Makes Donation To Children’s Advocacy Center

Teachers and staff at North Lamar ISD raised $816 for the Children’s Advocacy Center through its ‘Jean Week’ campaign. NLISD superintendent Dr. Jason Adams and NL representative Tammy McGuire, second from right, presented a check to CAC Executive Director Rebecca Peevy, second from left, and Angela Bates, CAC Forensic Interviewer/Family Advocate. The money will be used to help stock the Rainbow Room.

          One week each month is designated for community awareness at North Lamar ISD with focus given to one Lamar County organization. Teachers and staff pay to wear jeans that week with one hundred percent of the proceeds going to that one group.
