North Lamar ISD’s Board of Trustees set a property tax rate at 91.69 cents per $100 valuation at this week’s meeting. The taxes will support a budget of about $28.6 million. Attendance is up by 34 students, which means more revenue than initially expected. The TEA allocates approximately $6,100 per student. In other action at the board meeting, trustees voted to name the new band hall at the high school in honor of retired band director Randy Jones.
