North Lamar Robotics Tours Lockheed Martin Aeronautics

Outside the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics facility in Fort Worth are Stone Middle School robotics students. Beginning front row left are Michael Bright, Tyler Weemes, Jacob Holt, Max Johnson, Caden Evans, Drew McNeal, and Wesley Bates; middle row, Xander Wilson, Andrew Wood, Kyler Grogan, Tyler Nutt, and Kolby Adams; and back row, chaperone Tammie Bates, Stone robotics instructor Jeremy Glossup, Stone instructor Michael Pointer, and Stone principal Kelli Stewart.

The robotics class at Stone Middle School recently toured the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics facility in Fort Worth.  While there they were able to see the F-35 jet being assembled and were given a presentation on the history of jets.  The presenter explained how the engineering process the students are learning in their robotics class can be applied to a career in aeronautics. The tour was hosted by North Lamar alumni Duane Cuttrell who is Deputy Vice President and Operations Director-Engineering & Technology at Lockheed.
